The overall experience was good. The ablutions could use some attention on cleanliness as it wasn't serviced on a regular basis, and fireplace/braai was never cleaned out during our 3 day stay. Unfortunately we stayed over a weekend period and the locals had a function every night on the opposite bank of the river, which resulted in a lot of noise and loud music. The monkeys created a little havoc for the campers.
They were efficient and provided good assistance. The food was enjoyable and all the amenities were clean.
The noise from the settlement across the river was horrendous and started from 5pm till after midnight. Booming music, people shouting, dogs barking. Felt as if we were camping in the middle of a shebeen. Besides no sleep we did not feel safe and left a day earlier sacrificing the camping costs already paid.
Dish washing housekeeping can definitely be improved. Overall feeling is that campers is only a afterthought at the lodge, where chalets occupants receive preference. On the positive side: Staff is friendly & noise complaints was dealt with swiftly.
We enjoyed the river safari and found that all info provided about Moremi (especially re. driving conditions) was accurate and reliable. Camping sites are big and tidy, wi-fi quality could be improved.
